every plan watches
everything.
issues, logs, the terminal, monitors and journeys are on every tier, free included. what you pay for is who gets woken, how loudly, and how far back the history stays open.
no card to start email alerts always free credits never expire never charged per person
every line above is on the free tier. issues, logs, the terminal, monitors, journeys and email alerts are free at any volume, on every plan, forever. only sms and whatsapp ever draw a credit.
journeys, on every plan
the flow map is not
the upgrade.
the map draws itself from real traffic on every tier, free included, and every tier can define a journey, watch it complete and replay a session that did not. free holds one journey and a week of history: enough to answer the question you arrived with, not a screenshot of somebody else's data.
what the tiers change
how many flows you can watch, and how far back you can look.
nothing is ever deleted because of a plan. events are kept for the full retention period whatever you pay, so a wider plan opens history that was accumulating all along, and a downgrade loses nothing but the view.
the whole model, counted
1,402 exceptions.
one credit.
checkout broke at 03:12 and threw fourteen hundred times before anybody woke up. cyclopes grouped them into one issue, opened one incident, tried the free channels first, and only reached for a handset when five minutes passed with no acknowledgement. that handset is the only line on the invoice.
this is the entire billing model. volume is free because volume is deduplicated; paging is metered because paging is the part that costs somebody real money. nothing else on this page changes that arithmetic, it only changes how many of those credits arrive with the plan.
the ladder
free is a tier,
not a countdown.
no trial that expires, no card to begin. the free tier keeps watching for as long as you use it, and the rungs above it roughly double rather than leaping: the tier names are how many people are on call, because that is the thing that actually changes.

annual pays for ten months and covers twelve. every tier is prepaid: there is no mandate stored, nothing auto-charges, and a period that lapses drops you to free rather than into arrears.
when the month runs long
out of alerts? buy alerts. not a bigger plan.
one credit is one alert on sms or whatsapp. top-ups need no plan and never expire, so credit bought for one bad deploy is still there for the next one, and a month that ran long does not become a subscription you keep paying for afterwards.

spend that cannot run away
every ceiling is enforced in code, not promised in a policy.
- free stays free
- email, in-app, push and hmac-signed webhooks cost nothing, at any volume, on every tier. only sms and whatsapp draw a credit.
- one incident per issue
- a thousand identical exceptions are one thing going wrong: deduplicated, paged once. the volume never reaches the ladder to begin with.
- three ceilings
- a limit per incident, per project per month, and per organisation per month. the tightest one wins, and it names itself in the timeline.
- sms held in reserve
- from pair upward, a policy can try the free channels first and only ring a handset if nobody answered. critical incidents ignore the delay.
- quiet, never blind
- at the ceiling the alert does not stop. it degrades to email and records why. being over budget should make you quiet, never blind.
- undelivered is refunded
- if the carrier reports the message never landed, the credit returns on its own. you pay for pages that arrive.
hiring someone should not
raise your monitoring bill.
every tier above is priced for the organisation, not the head count. twenty-five people on team is $19, not $19 each, and the on-call pager everybody else sells by the seat is included at every rung that has one.
